I drink a lot of TaB cola and Carlsberg beer, but not together. I am a professional musician, specializing in bass clarinet and tenor douçaine (like a medieval oboe), but also teach a lot of clarinet and saxophone. I play in the Boise Philharmonic, the Sun Valley Summer Symphony, Darkwood Consort and Virelai des Bois. I teach as an adjunct at the College of Idaho and Northwest Nazarene University. I am a convert to Catholicism (from Lutheranism) but remain somewhat pinko-lefty. I have watched Days of Our Lives since the seventies. I speak Danish, English and French. Well, I try to speak French. My Danish is better even though I am self-taught. For that matter, my Danish could be better too. That's why I sometimes do this blog in Danish. It's a learning tool and it garners me a little privacy while I post my silliness on the web. When I'm not talking about the douçaine (which is rare) or other medieval topics, I am usually rambling about something (or someone) Danish, especially Anne Linnet. I have adopted Buffy Sainte-Marie as my own personal Elvis. My students get quite the enthusiastic lecture if they ask about the Indian woman on the wall.
